Terms of Service

Lumei provides engagement features for Discord servers: experience and levels, a server economy, a shop, quests, and seasons, configured through a web dashboard. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops.

Lumei is currently in beta. It is offered free of charge during this period and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be reset while we stabilize the product. Don't rely on Lumei as the system of record for anything you can't afford to lose. Paid plans may be introduced later; pricing and what each tier includes will be shown before you're ever charged.

If you add Lumei to a server or use the dashboard, you agree to:

• comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines — your right to use Lumei depends on your account remaining in good standing with Discord;
• only configure Lumei on servers where you have the authority to do so (the Manage Server permission), and use it for your own community;
• not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service, and not use it to harass others or distribute unlawful content;
• not present Lumei's in-server currency, items, or rewards as having real-world monetary value — they are for community engagement only.

As a server's admin, you are responsible for the configuration you choose and for how Lumei is used in your community.

We aim to keep Lumei running smoothly but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability — maintenance, outages, and Discord-side changes happen. We may suspend or remove access to the service, for a server or an individual, if it is used in violation of these terms or in a way that endangers the service or other communities.

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we never store your message content, and you can request deletion of your data at any time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumei and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, progress, or in-server currency, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Lumei is provided without charge during beta, and our total liability for any claim is limited accordingly.

We may update these terms as Lumei evolves; the date above reflects the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
