Leveling
How your members earn XP and level up.
The journey · an active member’s first 90 days
An active chatter reaches Level 25 in about 68 days · ≈620 XP/day
Assumes ~20 counted messages and 20 voice minutes a day. Updates as you tune.
Presets
One click sets the whole earning posture — you review every change before it applies.
Earning XP
XP per message
Each counted message rolls a value in this band.
Cooldown
Seconds between counted messages — prevents spam from paying.
The ceiling a genuinely substantial message can add.
Receiving — the quality signal
When a message earns reactions from 2+ different people, its author gets XP — rewarding the messages people loved, not just the messages people sent.

Giving — the classic knob
A small award for reacting at all. The most farmable lane — it ships off, flat (no boosts), with its own cooldown and daily cap.

Daily cap (0 = uncapped)
Every bot pays people for talking. Spark pays the member who starts the conversation: when a message draws 3+ different repliers within the window, its author earns a retroactive bonus — visible in their /xp whyas “⚡ you sparked a conversation”. Self-replies never count.

Members holding any of these roles earn no XP anywhere — text or voice. The block is absolute (no boost can override it), and their /xp why says exactly which role is blocking.

Custom formula
Write the quadratic yourself — each level n costs a·n² + b·n + c XP.

Hot chip on cards
Members accelerating past their own usual pace get a flame. Lifetime XP never decays.
/xp rival
Each member can see who’s one rank above them and the exact gap. Ephemeral, pull-only.
When the week resets (Monday, UTC), Lumei pays the top earners from the window automatically — through the ledger, announced in your channel. Lifetime XP is never touched.
Prizes (server currency)
0 = that rank earns glory only.
Squads are role-mapped teams — the role IS the membership, and standings aggregate what members already earn. A member holding several squad roles counts for the first squad in this list.
House Cup
When the week closes, Lumei announces the winning squad — bragging rights, not payouts.
Members at the floor can trade their XP for a permanent ⭐ mark and a windfall — their choice, never yours. The journal keeps their full earning history, so nothing is erased; the ladder just starts again with a star on the card.

Daily streak
The member’s consecutive-day count on /rank and /profile.
Wallet & bank
The economy row on /profile — it only shows while economy is enabled anyway.
Earning DNA on /profile
The member’s per-source split as a stacked bar.
Reward roles
Members keep every role they earn.
Boosts
XP multipliers for roles and channels.
Server Boosters
Boosters automatically earn extra — Lumei detects the boost, no role setup needed.
Role boosts
Channel boosts
XP Events
Time-boxed boosts — XP weekends, happy hours, launch parties. Members see the 🎉 in /xp why.
Boost
Times are your local timezone; the boost joins role/channel boosts and still respects the multiplier cap. Overlapping events don’t stack — the best one wins.
Gravity Map
Where XP is born — the last 30 days of the journal, mapped by channel.
31,000 XP (before mapping) — earned before channels were recorded, or with no meaningful place (quests, admin grants).
No XP in 30 days: #level-ups, #voice-chat — consider an event or multiplier to pull members in.
#general holds 47% of the XP — consider gravity elsewhere: a boost or event in a quieter channel spreads the orbit.
